Financial Planner = GPS?
Some people believe that the sole purpose of Financial Planners is to provide advice on investments. This is not true.
Financial Planning is a journey, in which a Financial Planner is the GPS. How?
A journey does not need to be the physical transportation from point A to B. A journey can be physical, spiritual, emotional and monetary.
When we set to embark on a journey to a place that we have never been before, we really do not worry much about getting lost or being late as we undoubtedly rely on the constantly expansive technology that all we need is the address of our destination(s) and our GPS will take us there.
We can rest assured that if we get off track, it will recalculate the next best course to the destination(s). Not only does this amazing device provide us with peace of mind, even if we are heading into unknown territory. To which we later think "It was the best money I ever spent."
Most of us know what our destination is; however, the daunting fact is that we don't exactly know the most accurate way of getting there.
Similarly, when embarking on a monetary journey, a financial planner does the same thing for clients heading into an unknown future, known as retirement. Your plan set out the actions and steps you need to take to achieve your destination and calculate how long it's going to take to get there. If you get off lost for a while, your plan can help you get back on track to reaching your goals.
A financial plan is a dynamic document that can be updated and changed whenever needed. A good financial planner who understands your needs and is acting in your best interest will be worth his or her weight in gold. With a little help, you'll get to your destination faster with a lot less trouble and wasted time. ?It will be the best money you ever spent.?
